ALSO

As part of Charleville Castle’s celebration of the 2nd Explorers Museum Film Festival, we will be hosting a Star Party at Charleville Castle on Saturday the 5th of September. Our good friends in Republic of Astronomy and KTEC Telescopes will be present on the night to help point out the constellations and planets to you. It is a family friendly event from 8pm until late. There will be a brief discussion before observing the night sky. Entry is just €5 per person and this includes one burger or hotdog on the night. We may even have a surprise guest or two! If you purchase a ticket for the Film Festival (Highly Recommended), this will also cover entry to the Star Party.
A small amount of telescopes will be available for anyone who doesn't have a telescope. If you have your own scope or binoculars please bring them along. Please dress for night time.  CLICK HERE

Just wanted to drop a line to say many thanks for helping Charleville Castle facilitate a great Halloween Party, A Spook at Charleville and The Lithuanian Alternative Theatre Performance evening on Saturday and Sunday safely and enthusiastically.

Charleville Castle is also an Independant Arts and Culture Centre of the Midlands and it is important to help maintain positive collaborative multicultural relationships through fundraisers such as these - everyone enjoyed themselves alot and there were sooo many great costumes - thanks also to those who dressed up and added to the craic.

Hope you had fun and we will keep you all updated for future events/fundraisers - like The Irish Burning Man Decompression Party Fundraiser Saturday, November 19th!

Lots of Projects coming up, your help is appreciated!!

altHello Castle friends..  As you may or may not know, we have lots of projects ongoing at Charleville Castle.  Most Notably, our "Raise the Roof" project, a big project where we hope to re-roof the chapel at Charleville Castle in the hope of ensuring it's survival.

We have the materials but this material needs to be prepared and brought to the roof of the chapel and put in place.  It is a complex and detailed project but before that happens, we need to prepare our staging area and temporary project office.

If you or someone you know is available and interested in giving your time and energies to our project, please let us know by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  and we can give you more info..

All hands on deck and all help is muchly appreciated!
